What Will You Find in a Music Together® Class?

What will you and your child find in a Music Together class?

The latest research shows that young children learn best through play, and that the modelling of the important adults in their lives has a great impact on how well they learn. You and your child will love making music together in our classes. We sing, dance, play instruments and do finger plays and chants together.

Our music is selected especially to provide enriching musical experiences that the whole family can enjoy. You'll find children and with their special grown-ups exploring drums, bells, shakers, kitchen instruments, floating scarves—instruments galore!

You will find high energy movers and quiet observers all intently involved in their own way in the exciting musical happenings around them, whether it's a rousing Israeli wedding dance or the glorious sounds of Big Ben's bells and chimes played on resonator bars.

Music Together classes provide a true family music experience, as siblings can attend the mixed age classes together. Moms, dads, aunts, uncles, grandparents and best buddies are all invited to attend. Adult involvement is encouraged and facilitated, making Music Together one of the best bonding experiences you can have with your child.

Music Together Mixed-Age (Birth-Age 5)

Music Together pioneered the concept of mixed age classes in 1987 and has enjoyed great success with this family-type model. Children of any age under five may attend the same class together. Younger children learn by observing older children and older children thrive on being leaders. Parents, grandparents or caregivers can bring siblings to the same class (no need to find a babysitter!) Everyone has so much fun, it's easy to forget how much learning is happening. Siblings under 8 months attend free!
