Stephanie Rockwood brought Music Together to her native Newfoundland, with its rich musical heritage in 2011. Stephanie discovered Music Together through fellow musician friends in 2001, while living in California. She immediately recognized the quality of the program as an ideal vehicle for her to share her love of music with young children. She had already played musically with her own three children when they were young in very similar ways to the Music Together philosophy, and knew the program was the best way to nurture the natural musical aptitude that all children have at birth. One of the goals of Music Together is to bring quality, enriching musical experiences into the everyday lives of families with young children, thereby fostering the natural musical growth of children from a very young age.

Stephanie trained with Music Together co-founder Ken Guilmartin and began teaching in California in 2002. In 2006, she was awarded Certification Level 1 by Music Together LLC in Princeton, New Jersey for outstanding achievement in teaching, musicianship, program philosophy and parent education. She has also taught choral and classroom music in Newfoundland for many years, and toured with choirs in Canada, the US, Australia and Europe. She loves teaching Music Together in St. John's and enjoys playing guitar, piano keyboard and recorder in her classes. Stephanie has degrees in Music (St. FX) and Education (MUN), and currently sings with the Philharmonic Choir of the Newfoundland Symphony Orchestra.
